The Blue Room
During the 1997-1998 academic year, I hosted The Blue Room, a program featuring classic pop and jazz from the 1920s and '30s. Bing Crosby, Connie Boswell, Louis Armstrong, Ruth Etting, Sophie Tucker, Cliff Edwards, Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson, Cab Calloway, Al Jolson, Annette Hanshaw, Rudy Vallee, Fats Waller, Guy Lombardo, Paul Whiteman, Ted Weems, and more were heard every week over the airwaves of WPAA, Andover, 91.7 FM, the radio station of Phillips Academy.
